Fun fact, Did you know Freddie Freeman is Canadian?

After what looked like an extremely rocky year for Major League Baseball, the season has finally, safely come to an end.

With the end of the season comes the much anticipated awards. On Tuesday, MLB announced Freeman as the NL MVP award winner, making him the 4th Canadian ever to win an MLB MVP award.

Although Freeman was born in Califonia, both of his parents were born in Canada, and he has dual citizenship. He even played for Canada in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. In 2017, he explained in a tweet his decision to play for Canada was as a tribute to his mother. He also explained his Canadian background.
