We’ve heard of “superstar treatment” in the NBA before, with star players seemingly earning fouls a little easier than their teammates. LeBron James would certainly be someone that receives the label from time to time, but Game 5 of the NBA Finals (which he is not playing in) had fans thinking he may be receiving a different form of superstar treatment.

Sitting courtside, images showed LeBron stashing a bottle of Lobos 1707 underneath his seat. James is one of a handful of NBAers to invest in the tequila brand, so having it go viral like this is certainly some good exposure for the brand.

While most fans aren’t even allowed to purchase a glass bottle in stadiums, LeBron appears to have been allowed to bring a big bottle of hard liquor to his courtside seat. That certainly seems like superstar treatment, but LeBron’s response to the viral moment now has fans second guessing.

LeBron appears to be insinuating that event staff were unaware he had snuck a bottle of tequila to his courtside spot. Did LeBron actually stuff the bottle down his pants and waddle past security? Was it concealed in a bag that nobody bothered to check because it’s, you know, LEBRON JAMES?

We may never know how Bron got that bottle courtside, but we hope that it helped him enjoy a very electric Milwaukee Bucks win. If he shows up for Game 6, we’re sure event staff will be on high alert.

…or maybe not.
