Earlier this month, Derek Jeter sat down next to Alex Rodriguez for an interview CNBC at a charity event in New York and both players appeared to be somewhat uncomfortable with the questions being asked.
They were there to speak about the charity efforts for the two former teammates, but a lot of other topics came up.
The interview quickly goes off the rails as the interviewer calls out the former Yankees’ rumoured feud, then he calls Jeter by the wrong name and what seems to really set Jeter off is when he presses him about his involvement with a group trying to buy the Marlins.
Here’s the full interview:
Well, now the story is back in the news because according to Business Insider ESPN’s Dan Le Batard made this claim on his radio show:
"I actually learned, factually, that Jeter was beside himself angry at that interview he had to do with Alex Rodriguez, first and foremost, because nobody told him he'd have to be sitting there next to Alex Rodriguez,"
There is a moment at about the 1:50 mark where Jeter comments on not having seen Rodriguez in a while, but other than that they seem friendly. You never know what’s going on behind on the scenes, but we’re sure how the interview played out didn’t help.
