DeMar DeRozan arrived at NBA Basketball Mini-Camp on Wednesday afternoon and it’s going to be the perfect opportunity for him to get a head start on feeling comfortable with his new club considering who USA’s coach is.
The players got to work on Thursday afternoon and it didn’t take long for DeRozan to put in some one-on-one work with his new head coach Gregg Popovich.
The trip to USA Basketball Mini-Camp would have been a great learning opportunity for DeRozan even if he was still a member of the Toronto Raptors, but we’re guessing Coach Pop is going to give him a little more pointers during their time together now that they’re on the same squad.
As for DeRozan, he also got to reunite with Kyle Lowry for the first time since the deal and they haven’t missed a beat.
