It’s been less than one week since the Toronto Raptors dealt DeMar DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs in a blockbuster deal that sent Kawhi Leonard back the other way. A few days after the trade the Raptors’ all-time leading scorer shared a heartfelt message with Raptors fans, Toronto residents, and Canadian basketball fans everywhere on his Instagram account.

Fast forward a few days and it appears that DeRozan is already ready to start focusing on the next chapter of his life and basketball career as he joined past and now current teammate Rudy Gay at the Drew League to give his new team a special shoutout.

DeRozan returns home every summer to compete in the Drew League, only this year he’s there representing a team other than the Toronto Raptors for the first time in his nine-year career.
