Video bombing is nothing new in the sports world. We’ve seen video/photo bomb master Aaron Rogers pull of a slew of surprise appearances in media (especially before he became a star), and back when DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry were on the same team, we could count on a cameo every other week or so.
Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich found a new way to video bomb on Wednesday. In fact, he didn’t even appear on camera. How do you figure that?
While doing a hit with the Flames in-house media, Derek Ryan had to fight through the guy they call “Big Save Dave” getting involved.
The way you see Rittich over Ryan’s shoulder, with a look of mischief falling over his face, before disappears out the side and starts tossing his equipment into the frame.
It certainly made it difficult to focus on what Ryan was talking about, and the video editors eventually cut to practice video. This was possibly in an effort to combat Rittich and his pad-tossing prank.
