All-Star games are pretty meaningless in most sports, but baseball has tried to make it matter with their home-field advantage rule… apparently it’s not working.
If the point of that rule is to make players care about the game, it certainly hasn’t worked on David Price. After being questioned relentlessly about his Fortnite habits in reference to his wrist injury, Price saw an opportunity to make a joke about how much he would like to avoid playing in the game at all. He’s not under any illusion that he would be an all-star at the moment, but he doesn’t seem interested anyways.
Price has had some deceivingly good numbers this season, especially since he came back from injury. If he keeps this up, he might actually have to fake some kind of injury to avoid the game.
