Everyone knows about the legend of David Ayres. Yes, the ice resurfacing driver who won a game against the team he supports. He will forever live in the lore of hockey history.
Today, the Leafs have signed Alex Bishop, the University of Toronto goaltender to an amateur tryout with the intent of him being the backup to Jack Campbell after Mrazek suffered an injury against the Senators in Ottawa.
When Ayres caught wind of the news he thought the Leafs should’ve made one minor tweak to make it perfect.
Hopefully, he won’t have to make his debut tonight but if he does it would be one hell of a story for Alex!
