Darryl Sutter is making his new tenure in Calgary exciting for the media. Friday night after Calgary's loss to Winnipeg, he called some of his players out.
Less than 24 hours later, Sutter doubled down on the soundbites when he was asked about Johnny Gaudreau, who is playing in his 500th game Saturday night.
In the 9 games since Sutter took over, Gaudreau has two points (both goals) and 17 shots on goal. The Flames are 4 points back of Montreal for the final playoff spot and because they've played 4 more games than the Habs, every game is that much more important.
