One thing football fans have wondered about the New England Patriots’ greatness over the years was if it was all because of Bill Belichick’s coaching or was it because they had Tom Brady under centre.
Sure, they made the perfect combo together, but is there one person who deserves a little more praise than the other?
Danny Amendola played five seasons with the New England Patriots. He caught passes from Tom Brady and listened to Bill Belichick in meetings and with game plans. On Monday, the Detroit Lions wide receiver said that the ‘Patriot Way’ is Brady, not Belichick, while he was a guest on First Things First.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a much better season than Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, and are just one win away from capturing the Lombardi Trophy, but based on the two rosters most football fans would agree that this isn’t a year to settle it all. However, when someone who played under Belichick and with Brady says something like that, it’s going to get the conversations going.
Regardless of who you think is the true mastermind behind all the Patriots’ success is, they did it together and their dynasty will be remembered forever.
