Not much needs to be said about Damian Lillard’s performance inside the NBA bubble. But in case you missed out on his greatness, Dame was named the 2020 NBA Seeding Games MVP. He was straight up unstoppable as he helped Portland lock up the 8th and final playoff spot in the West. His play was impressive enough, but turns out that Lillard called making the playoffs a while ago.
We don’t know the exact day when this exchange occurred between Little and Lillard, but on January 15th the Trail Blazers were 18-24. By no means were they out of I,t but the road to the playoffs wouldn’t be easy.
In the seeding games, Portland went 6-2 thanks to some outrageous games from Lillard including his 61 point performance against the Mavericks. He also did this to Valanciunas in the play-in game to lock up the 8th seed in the West.
Next up for Portland is a matchup with the #1 seed in the West, the LA Lakers. Not many people will give Portland much of a chance, but Charles Barkley believes in them.
