With just about every sports league around the world currently on hold or cancelled entirely, sports fans everywhere are trying to figure out what to do with their time while they practice social-distancing.
Since arenas and stadiums across the world are going to be empty for at least the next month, there’s a lot of food that was ordered ahead of time that’s going to go to waste.
So, teams are starting to donate the food from their stadiums to local food banks and the Dallas Stars are the latest team to do so.
Through the Dallas Stars Foundation, the Stars made donations to the North Texas Food Bank and the Frisco Family Services.
Earlier this week we saw both the Montreal Canadiens and the Arizona Coyotes donate the food from their arenas to local food banks ad we’re guessing more teams will start to do the same.
