Different fan bases and different sports have their fair share of unwritten rules.

For Chicago Cubs fans, it’s a known unwritten rule that if you’re sitting in the outfield bleachers and the visiting team hits a ball or throws a ball your way, you do not keep it.

On Tuesday night, the Cubs hosted the Colorado Rockies and one Cubs fan was quick to react to a ball that was tossed into the stands by Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia.

No thanks.

The Cubs fan barely even had time to react to the souvenir that was tossed his way, but he clearly didn’t need any time to think about what he was going to do if he got his hands on the ball.

If you didn’t know before, you do now. If you sit in the bleachers at Wrigley Field and get a ball from the opposing team, your best bet is to throw it back onto the field (just don’t throw it at the player).
