This World Juniors is a little (a lot) different than years past for a number of reasons, but perhaps the most noticeable is that there are no fans in the arena. Well, that’s not completely true. There’s one fan in the arena.
His name is Corwin McCallum.
Of course, we didn’t send Corwin to Edmonton to simply enjoy the action. We didn’t let him get off THAT easy. Instead, Corwin is walking, rollerblading, and video blogging his way through the World Juniors Bubble. While you may already have an idea of what may be going on in the Bubble, Corwin gives us a unique behind-the-scenes look at what is really going on.
The daily COVID-19 tests certainly look uncomfortable, but overall… what the heck, that looks so cool! Corwin, if you’re reading this, it’s Jeff. You think I could fit in that massive luggage you brought?
The novelty of watching the World Juniors in an empty arena is something not many will ever get to experience, and while we’d obviously prefer to have fans it’s interesting to see this side as well. Also, just getting to walk around all the gear, the dressing rooms, the recreational areas… not a bad gig for our old friend Corwin.
Which part of the video did you enjoy the most? Let us know in the YouTube comments, we read ALL of them!
(H/T Corwin I guess?)
