At what point do we start calling Conor McGregor a fall from grace? The UFC Champ has had quite a bit of trouble recently, losing his Lightweight belt to Khabib Nurmagomedov in a controversy-filled scrap  almost exactly one calendar year ago while encountering multiple run-ins with the law.

The latest one may be the most eyebrow-raising yet. In August, a video emerged of McGregor getting into it with a man seated at the Marble Arch Bar in Dublin. Apparently McGregor was trying to push his signature whisky on the man, but when he refused to comply McGregor popped him in the face.

The video was met with widespread backlash, with viewers in disbelief. The other man was apparently in his 50’s, and now we have a clearer picture eof what McGregor’s punishment may be.

According to the Irish Independent, McGregor has been charged with assault, and he will appear before a judge on October 11. Worst case scenario for McGregor, the charge carries a maximum penalty of a 6 month prison term and a €1,500 fine.
