Connor McDavid will suit up for an NHL game Tuesday night for the first time since he suffered a knee injury against the Flames on April 6th.  McDavid was tripped on the play by Mark Giordano and crashed into the post.
It goes without saying that the result of the trip from Giordano was completely unintentional and it's unfortunate that McDavid was hurt on the play, but that's sports sometimes.
Giordano couldn't have felt good about what happened to McDavid and the Oilers captain revealed that the Flames captain actually reached out to him a couple of times to see how he was doing.
All class from Giordano and we, like McDavid, appreciate that move from Calgary's leader.  We look forward to seeing the top player in TSN's top 50 take the ice, even if it's just a preseason game.
