It didn’t take Connor McDavid very long to silence any possible doubters as he averaged more than a point per game in his rookie season, and followed that up by leading the entire league in points the following two years.

The 21-year-old continues to improve year after year, if that’s even possible considering the level he’s playing at right now, and he still has plenty of room to grow; which is actually a little scary for his opponents. The Richmond Hill, Ontario native is currently spending time back home in the GTA where he’s putting in some offseason work at the Power Edge Pro Camp. During a workout on Friday afternoon, McDavid pulled off a move we’ve never seen done before and we’re hoping he gets to try it in an NHL game.

After the original shot was stopped, the puck deflected up into the air and ended up hitting the glass. Rather than waiting for it to land on the ice before making his next move like most people would, McDavid decided to play the puck as is and batted it behind his back while it was in mid-air and set up a possible scoring chance for his teammate.

We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next season.
