Connor McDavid had an incredibly humble quote about potentially playing for Canada next Olympics

Connor McDavid is arguably the best player in hockey and ever since he entered the league, fans have been dreaming up line combinations for him in International competitions. Unfortunately for McDavid (and fans), NHL players have not been able to go to the Olympics since he entered the league.

NHL players will return to Winter Olympics in 2022 and 2026 , subject to reaching agreement with IIHF/IOC.

As we recently found out, as part of the Return To Play agreement between the league and the NHLPA, the four-year CBA extension includes a return to the Olympics and McDavid gave an incredibly humble answer when asked about the possibility of representing Canada on that stage.

"This break allowed me to get my body back to where it needs to be & I definitely feel good now."

This is something that’s obviously important to me, just the chance to be able to chase down a roster spot for Team Canada, even to have that opportunity is exciting.

McDavid basically has a spot on Canada's top line locked up already, so he won't be chasing down any spot on the roster despite his humbleness.
