One loss is all it’s going to take to end the Winnipeg Jets’ season.

The Winnipeg #Jets are living on the edge right now 😅

After displaying tremendous promise in the opening two rounds, the Jets now find themselves with their backs against the wall and looking for answers. Tonight marked the first time in the postseason that they’ve dropped three in a row and the bounces haven’t seemed to go their way so far. At least that’s what goaltender Connor Hellebuyck seems to think.

Hellebuyck sounded confident after the team’s Game 4 loss and expressed to the media his belief that his team simply hasn’t had luck on their side so far. However, he does seem to think that Winnipeg will find a way to pull out the next three games. When asked about the action so far, the American insisted “the stars are aligning for them, but it’s not going to stay that way.”

In fairness, the team has endured some unfortunate bounces so far. Winnipeg outshot the Golden Knights 37-29 and the game-winning goal, scored by Golden Knights forward Reilly Smith, came on a complete whiff by Dustin Byfuglien at the blue line.

Team captain Blake Wheeler seemed pleased with the way his team played and insisted a game like tonight is one the team will win 9/10 times.

Game 5 will take place in Winnipeg on Sunday afternoon in what’s sure to be a loud Bell MTS place. They’re going to need more from their goaltender if they hope to put an end to Vegas’ Cinderella season.
