People around the world are still practicing social distancing with many people still working from the comfort of their own home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, depending on where you live and your health situation, it’s still alright to go outside at least once a day to get some fresh air and exercise, as long as you continue to keep your distance.

One way New Jersey Devils defenceman Connor Carrick has been staying active, aside from his incredible TikTok videos, has been rollerblading around the neighbourhood at high speeds. A local resident stopped to talk to him one day, while they both kept their distance, and it started a new friendship for the 26-year-old NHLer.

Carrick spoke to NJ Devils team reporter Amanda Stein about his time at home and his new friends, and Stein later confirmed that only one of the two kids is the woman’s son and the other kid the son’s friend and their neighbour.

The best part about it all is how he mentioned that they’re just amazed that he gets to play with Jack Hughes, not the fact that they’re actually working out with an NHLer.
