Andrew Luck shocked every single football fan this past weekend when the 29-year-old quarterback decided to retire from the NFL.
While a lot of Colts fans and non-Colts fans decided to rip into Luck on social media for his decision to call it a career, just about every single player, past and present, came to the defence of the 2012 first overall pick and were fully supporting his decision. One person who was hit the hardest by the unexpected news is Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who became Luck’s go-to guy over the years.
After taking some time to digest the information, Hilton took to social media shortly after the news to show support for his now former quarterback and is dedicating the upcoming season to the 2018 NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
Hilton was also drafted by the Colts in the 2012 NFL Draft and quickly found chemistry with Luck on and off the field. Over his seven NFL seasons, Hilton has caught 40 touchdowns during the regular season with 34 of those touchdowns coming from Luck, so it’s safe to say that the 29-year-old receiver is going to miss his quarterback more than anyone.
