If you’re a Habs fan right now, things are pretty good.

The Canadiens just landed vet Eric Staal from the Buffalo Sabres, and more notably, they put pen to paper with their fifteenth overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Cole Caufield.

Caufield has dazzled at virtually every level he’s played at, and following a very impressive World Junior Championship, he absolutely tore up the NCAA this year with Wisconsin. Caufield put up a staggering 52 points in 31 games this year for the Badgers, and today, he was rewarded with his ELC from the Montreal Canadiens.

Following the news, certified good guy Cole posted this heartfelt thank you to his home state and school. He also made sure to shout out the Habs!
