JJ Watt and Cole Caufield were both born and raised in Wisconsin and they both attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
On the night of Game 1 of the Montreal Canadiens-Toronto Maple Leafs series, Watt took to Twitter to share that the series needed more Cole Caufield, who happened to be a healthy scratch the first two games.
Well, after Caufield’s steal and assist on the game-winning goal in Game 5, Watt basically hit Twitter with an “I told ya so”.
The support from Watt has not gone unnoticed by his fellow former Badger, and Caufield shouted out the Arizona Cardinals defensive end while speaking to the media.
We’ll see if Caufield and the Habs can keep the magic going in Game 6 on Saturday.
