It’s no secret at this point. Cole Caufield has some filthy mitts, and his teammate Trevor Zegras has some pretty impressive ones of his own. Put the two together for a drill and BANG! You’ve got yourself Grade A entertainment.
The two forwards, who are set to participate in their second consecutive tournament, apparently have one of the cooler practice traditions that only those with the best of hands could even think of doing. Imagine launching a puck up several feet in the air, only to have to tip it into a small bucket of pucks. Just take a look at this magic for yourself!
We get it fellas! You both have sick hands!
A reminder that Zegras led the tournament with NINE assists in five games last year while Caufield posted a goal and an assist of his own. The latter should build on those stats based on what we’ve seen from him so far in the early goings…
As for the rest of Team USA? Yeah, they’ve been getting creative with their drills, too. A little hockey tag, anyone?
The Americans kick their tournament off tonight at 9:30 PM ET on TSN. Look for some magic between these two!
