Could CM Punk potentially be making a return to wrestling?

It's been more than three years since CM Punk's departure from the WWE, and even though the former wrestling superstar remains committed to mixed-martial arts, a wrestling organization in Britain is trying their hardest to get CM Punk back into the squared circle. According to the Sun, '5 Star Wrestling' has offered £770,000 ($1.35 million CAD)

The head of 5 Star Wrestling, Daniel Hinkles, claims that they have made the offer to CM Punk in hopes of getting the former wrestler to join their organization on tour for a world's first 128-man wrestling tournament.

Speaking with the Sun, Hinkles outlined the offer, as well as his company's attempt to reach out to CM Punk with the deal.

“I’ve tried going through friends in the industry, I’ve gone through his website and sent dozens of emails but the opportunity has never been this big.

“We want to offer CM Punk $1 million dollars (£770,000) to come and join the 5 Star Wrestling tour starting June 10th.

“It’s a genuine offer. We’d love to hear back from the man himself. We want to do this with him.”

Translation, the two sides have not met, and while an offer may very well be on the table, it's likely being floated out there to help build publicity around the tour. Who knows, though. Perhaps CM Punk will hear about the offer and truly consider it. Seems highly unlikely, though.
