Claude Giroux is one of the biggest beauties in the NHL and at the conclusion of the Flyers-Hurricanes game he showed exactly why we feel that way.
He has an honesty and candor about him that is endearing to many fans and media alike, because it can often lead to a refreshing interview. It’s just like interviews with P.K. Subban, Joe Thornton and Phil Kessel. Everybody always makes fun of hockey players for their cliché answers, and Giroux almost fell into that trap but immediately caught himself.
The Florida Panthers ended up winning last night, and the Flyers won, so they still got one step closer to securing their spot in the playoffs.
They are currently four points up on the Panthers in the eighth spot with one game remaining. The Panthers have a game in hand, so they could tie the Flyers if they win their final two games and Philadelphia loses, but they would also have to win at least one of the games in regulation or overtime to get the tiebreaker.
Things could get very interesting in both conferences as the eighth spot remains up for grabs. There will definitely be some scoreboard watching going on.
