Chris Bosh’s NBA playing days may have ended due to unfortunate health complications, but he’s not done in the world of professional competition.

Bosh, who was a member of the Miami Heat “super team” also featuring Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, was a force when he was on the court, but unfortunately those days ended prematurely due to blood clotting. The recurring issue made it dangerous for Bosh to continue to compete, and he has not played since. While Bosh has not ruled out a return to the NBA, and even has stated that he’s on the comeback trail, there is a fair chance that he never laces up again.

Bosh has shifted his focus, or at least some of it, to a field where blood clotting will certainly not be a problem. While many players end their playing days by getting some sort of front office or management position within their sport, Bosh is looking to get involved in the rapidly growing world of professional gamine - epsorts.

Bosh joins other current and former NBAers such as Shaq, Magic Johnson, and the Philadelphia76ers in getting involved in the esports world, a world that has grown unfathomably fast over the past couple decades. The Conversation even reported that professional gamers will soon be getting paid more than professional athletes. Not a bad industry to be getting into.

While there will always be backlash to the existence of esports in the traditional sports world, the competitions range from casual and leisurely all the way to massive, international competitions that fill up some of the biggest venues in the world.
