We're not sure how long it's going to take for the NHL to put the Golden Knights in an outdoor game, but we imagine it won't be long based on the success the team had in its inaugural season.
If (when) the Golden Knights do play outdoors, they're going to need new sweaters for the game and because the Golden Knights are a new franchise, it's a clean slate when it comes to concept jerseys for special games like the Winter Classic, for example.
With that in mind, check out these incredible Winter Classic concept jerseys for Vegas created by Matthew Henderson from British Columbia.
(Note: The jersey was made before James Neal signed with the Flames)
Matthew was inspired by the first NHL outdoor game, a pre-season contest between the Rangers and Kings that was played outside of Caesars Palace in 1991.
Although the Golden Knights don't have longevity at the moment, the jerseys feel like throwbacks thanks to the style and colour. Plus, you can see the influence of Vegas (poker chips, the Vegas sign and lights) in the jersey which makes it that much better.
