For the first time since the 2012-13 season the Boston Bruins are heading to the Eastern Conference final after blanking the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-0, in Game 6 on Monday night.
While booking a trip back to the Eastern Conference final is a familiar feeling for players such as Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Tuukka Rask, Brad Marchand, David Krejci and Torey Krug, but for the rest of the guys it’s a brand new feeling. After their Game 6 victory, the Bruins captain asked David Pastrnak how he feels to be heading to his first Eastern Conference final and it’s safe to say he’s fired up.
The Bruins will take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the next round with a trip to the Stanley Cup Final on the line.
