After the Washington Capitals won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, we featured the fantastic artwork of Taylor Kampa Olson, a Capitals super fan who featured the members of the Caps on multiple different canvasses.
While she’d featured the team’s top players like Alex Ovechkin, Braden Holtby, Nicklas Backstrom, John Carlson and T.J. Oshie, the incredibly-talented artist had yet to feature the Capitals team together as a whole.
That is until now.
Using the Capitals team winning photo, she put over 40 hours of work into the painting below, according to an interview with Pat Pickens of NHL.com.
The drawing was donated to the team for a special Casino Night this upcoming Sunday. The 21 remaining Capitals from their Stanley Cup winning signed it, as it’ll be auctioned off with the proceeds going to owner Ted Leonsis’ charity, Monumental Sports and Entertainment Foundation.
