The Washington Capitals are back in the playoffs and will try and repeat as Stanley Cup champions after winning it all for the first time in franchise history last year.

While the mission is the same for the Capitals, the faces aren't all the same this time around.  Washington made some moves ahead of the deadline in the hopes of improving their chances of winning again and they also lost some players ahead of the season from their Cup-winning roster.

Taylor Chorney technically wasn't one of the players from that Cup-winning team as he was placed on waivers during last season.  Chorney did, however, play 24 games with the Caps last season and 97 in Washington for his career.

Even though he didn't play a playoff game with the Caps, his teammates didn't forget the contributions he made when he was in Washington and this past weekend, they surprised him with his own Stanley Cup ring.

What an incredible surprise and moment for Chorney.  Winning is nice, but it's nothing if you can't celebrate with everyone that helped along the way and this proves how close the Capitals are as a team.

That camaraderie could once again help the Capitals go deep into the playoffs for a second-straight year.
