Andre De Grasse became a name known worldwide in 2016 because of his neck and neck races with Usain Bolt and the funny photographs that went viral during them.
Now, he’s going to try to replicate that success on the court.
The NBA just announced its All-Star Celebrity Game Roster for this year and two Canadians will line up together. One has been there several times, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, but there is a new face in town as well. Andre De Grasse will also lace ‘em up for Team Clippers next weekend. Expect to see some fast break points from the speedster.
A lot of the other celebrities may seem like foreign names to some, but the NBA is clearly focusing on a younger demographic. Not only are they using influencers that their audience is familiar with like Rachel DeMita (2K host), Brandon Armstrong (Basketball impressions), but they’ve grabbed up and comers like Caleb Mclaughlin (Stranger Things) and Miles Brown (Black-Ish).
Good luck to any of them when trying to keep up with De Grasse.
