Even when you know it’s going to happen, sometimes a moment can be overwhelming. That is certainly the sort of thing we see each year at the NBA Draft.
Even though the picks were reported as “set” before the draft even happened, RJ Barrett found himself in tears following the New York Knicks #3 overall selection. He buried his face in the shoulder of his father, who also seemed to be getting emotional in the moment.
RJ followed the tearful interview from freshman teammate Zion Williamson, who was also overcome by the moment.
It’s a teary night at the Draft.
