Freddie Freeman has been around the MLB for a long time. 12 years, to be precise! The whole dozen-year career he’s spent with the same team – the Atlanta Braves.

On Tuesday, Freeman’s loyalty paid off. The Canadian-American first baseman (who represented Canada in international play) caught the World Series clincing out, ending the Braves long drought that stretched back to 1995.

Following the game, everyone wanted a word with Freddie. The likeable veteran began the barrage with no words, and ended it with some heartwarming and inspirational ones.

Following the World Series performance, longtime Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz only had one thing to say.
