Not that there was much doubt, but confirmation that the injury for Lafreniere is his left knee. He is still undergoing testing to determine the severity of the injury.

I visited Alexis Lafrenière earlier this month in Rimouski and spoke to several folks in Quebec about his potential impact in a province that appreciates gifted offensive players. His apparent knee injury is a horrible blow to a young man who has invested his soul in the game.

at this point all we can hope for is a good diagnosis for Lafreniere. hopefully nothing too serious, not just for the sake of the World Juniors but for the sake of his career moving forward. he's gonna be an electric NHL player, hopefully this injury doesnt jeopardize his future

McMichael might not be the best skater but he needs to get a look with Lafreniere out. Hunter knows him well and should have confidence in his ability to produce.
