Oh, Canada! Our World Junior’s have done it! We’re heading to the finals!

Following Canada’s 5-0 shutout win over Russia Monday evening, the finish line is looking a lot closer for Team Canada and victory is so close we can taste it.

The boys are buzzing, we’re all buzzing.

Alex Newhook returned to play Russia after suffering a shoulder injury two days ago and was able to make up for lost time instantly by giving Canada the 1-0 lead just under a minute into the game.

Canada was able to continue forth with their efforts with goals by Connor McMichael, Cole Perfetti, and Braden Schneider.

Devon Levi even attempted to join the goal club with an empty netter but unfortunately, it was blocked by Jamie Drysdale.

Though Dylan Cozens had his back as he sunk in an empty-net goal, giving Canada their 5-0 final.

Levi captured his third shutout of the tournament while sporting a nasty 97.46 save percentage. He additionally tied Justin Poggee for most shutouts at the World Juniors. We’re not even sure this kid is human, the numbers he’s putting up are some superhero level stuff.

Kirby Dach even took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates.

How sweet!

Canada will be playing the winner of the USA vs. Finland semifinal game for gold tomorrow night.
