Ted-Jan Bloemen won a gold medal for Canada that has never been won before and he did it in record breaking time.
He was competing in the 10,000m individual competition and won his second medal of the tournament. His first was a silver in the 5,000m individual tournament, but he one-upped himself by winning gold. In fact he one-upped everyone in history in his last race because he set a new Olympic record with his time.
Shortly after that, Canada clinched a medal in Team Relay Luge. The team pulled off a run that put them in first place with two competitors to go and only a brilliant run from Team Germany was able to top them, pushing them to a silver medal. Another quick two medals had Canadians thrilled with their countryβs performance.
