For a while there, it felt like people were starting to forget about Chris Paul in comparison to some of the NBA's other great superstar point guards, but let’s be clear: Even at the age of 35, this dude is still elite!
CP3 is coming off a 19-assist game for the rolling Phoenix Suns just a few days ago. How is he doing it?
Well, maybe we have our answer. Paul was spotted with a water bottle labelled ‘Michael’s Secret Stuff’ from the classic Space Jam, which is just a hilarious little reference that we’re glad got picked up by the cameras.
Space Jam 2 is finally coming out later this year, and Paul is one of the NBA players reported to cameo in the film starring LeBron James. So, if this is some stealth marketing for the movie, then it’s very well done.
And if Michael’s Secret Stuff happens to align with the fact that Paul is averaging 17 points and nine assists while just a few ticks under 50-40-90 shooting percentages, then, hey, we’ll enjoy Paul’s resurgence season as much as anyone.
