Kawhi Leonard has always been a different breed. We’ve always known it, but the more we get to know his quirks and quips, the more we love the guy.
What’s so endearing about it is how absolutely genuine it is. He’s not putting on the anti-social, all-business, super-shy persona at all. It’s just purely who he is. We may have reached peak Kawhi on Monday when a video emerged of the Los Angeles Clippers star pulling what has to be his most “Kawhi” move ever.
As Leonard is entering the facilities down in Disney World, he appears to the be locked in to an iPad, presumably preparing for the game he’s about to play. As he wheels around the corner, it becomes clear that he’s not actually looking at anything. He’s literally staring at the iPad home screen.
You can even back the video up and see that the earliest possible view of the iPad is in fact the home screen still. While it’s possible he is simply taking in the aesthetic of the interface (now that we mention it, that actually sounds totally possible), but more likely than not he’s simply avoiding human interaction at all costs.
We’re starting to think he’s about as good at that skill as he is on the hardwood. Or is it possible he was just upgrading his own software?
