Cale Makar has had quite the week.

On Friday, the Calgary, Alberta native won the Hobey Baker Award and on Saturday he was playing in the NCAA championship game. On Sunday, his weekend was topped off in an incredible way as he signed a three-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche.

On Monday, the 20-year-old made his NHL debut and it didnโ€™t take him very long to get on the scoresheet.
 

With the Avalanche already leading 2-0 in the opening period thanks to two goals from Nathan MacKinnon, Makar added to his teamโ€™s lead by firing home his first career NHL goal with his parents in the building and their reaction will give you all the feels.
 

The defenceman is coming off a career year with UMass where he registered 16 goals and 33 assists for 49 points in 41 games. In 75 career games with UMass Makar totaled 21 goals and 49 assists for 70 points.
