The Montreal Canadiens' roster heading into the 2019/20 season features some exciting young players outside of players like Max Domi, Jonathan Drouin, and Victor Mete.

Tuesday, 2017 Vegas first-round pick Nick Suzuki and Montreal third-round pick Cale Fleury learned they'll be sticking with the big club and based on the line combinations at practice, they'll also be playing on opening night.

Both players earned their way into the lineup with their play in training camp, as well as the preseason, and now their NHL dreams are days away from being realized.

Part of that NHL dream is putting on that jersey and taking the ice for the first time, and for Fleury, he'll be doing so with a number that wasn't his first choice, as per 'Le Journal De Quebec'

"It's not me who made this decision, but hey, I'll take the 20th," he said, still with a smile. I brought this number to the midget level, it'll be ok. "
When asked if it was Bergevin's decision, the 20-year-old said yes.

"Yes, because he does not like big numbers," he admitted.

The two biggest numbers on the Habs right now are 92 and 90 (Drouin, Tatar), but aside from those, only two other numbers exceed 50.

The number will be the last thing Fleury is thinking about, however, when he takes the ice Thursday night in Carolina for his first game.
