Almost everyone was excited to hear about the return of Marshawn Lynch to Seattle.

Almost everyone.

There was another free agent running back who was hoping for a call (and was reportedly considered), but ultimately didn’t get the nod. He goes by the name C.J. Anderson and he has a proven track record in the playoffs. After playing a key role in the Denver Bronco’s Super Bowl 50 run, Anderson was acquired as a free agent by the LA Rams late in their Super Bowl run and proved to be their most valuable offensive weapon, posting an impressive 488 rushing yards and four touchdowns through five games with the team. It’s clear he thinks that his production earned him a roll in Seattle and he didn’t hold back about the matter on Twitter:

Lynch, who hasn’t played a down of football  since October 14 of 2018, accumulated just 376 rushing yards and three touchdowns through six games last season. This definitely helps put Anderson’s anger into perspective, but come on people. We’re talking about BeastMode here. This guy is more than just football in Seattle… he’s a legend off the field as well!

It’s nice to see that #MarshawnLynch hasn’t changed. 🤣 . (🎥: Twitter/gbellseattle)

This is a tough one to swallow for Anderson, who was acquired and cut by the Lions earlier this season. He is only 28 with some juice left in the tank though, so time will tell what his future holds.
