Earlier this week, Alex Burrows of the Ottawa Senators was involved in a skirmish with Taylor Hall of the New Jersey Devils that resulted in him kneeing Hall in the head multiple times.
Everyone expected Burrows to be suspended for what he did and on Wednesday, the Department of Player Safety handed him a 10-game suspension.
Players can choose to appeal their suspensions if they wish, but Thursday, Burrows released a statement on the incident and suspension, and revealed he would not be appealing.
Regardless of whether you agree with the length of the suspension or not, the most important thing above all else is that Hall was not injured on the play and now Burrows will suffer the consequences of his actions. (H/T: NHLPA)
