Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies are in the thick of the wild card race in the NL. Entering play on Saturday, they sit just 0.5 back of the Brewers for the final wild card spot and they need Harper to be at his best down the stretch if they want to not only make the playoffs, but go on a deep run.
Wherever Harper goes (aside from Philly), there are always fans heckling the man who left the Nationals for an over $300 million deal with the Phillies, but as we saw Friday night, the outside noise doesn't bother him in the slightest.
Is Harper overrated? There's certainly a case to be made, but we wouldn't make that case if we were anywhere close to the former MVP, especially when he's at the plate. After a monster night against the Giants, Harper is actually on pace to set a career-high in RBIs, so we're not sure if that "overrated" argument is one we would support. (H/T: Cut4)
