Bryce Harper has been on a tear this season as the Washington Nationals right fielder entered Wednesday night’s action with a National League-best 18 home runs and 48 walks.

In the bottom of the fourth inning against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday afternoon, Harper attempted to turn a single into a double but ended up getting thrown out at the base due to a uniform malfunction.

As the 2015 NL MVP rounded first base and headed for second, his helmet went flying off his head and caused him to take a tumble. It’s too bad for Harper because he easily would have been safe, but ended up out by a hair.
