If Wednesday’s Phillies vs. Cardinals game taught us anything, it’s that Bryce Harper is an absolute trooper.
During his at-bat in the top of the 6th, Harper was hit right in the face by a 97 mph fastball while up against RP Génesis Cabrera.

As Harper incredibly walked off the blow, he went to the clubhouse before leaving the game.
Following the incident, Didi Gregorius was hit in the back by Cabrera’s next pitch, just blowing tensions out even more.
Joe Girardi faced ejection as he argued Cabrera to be taken out of the game, though following league rules, he needed to reach the three-batter minimum.
As both benches were given a warning, that still did not hold back players from expressing their upset, especially Sam Coonrod.
Thankfully, Harper appears to be in good spirits as he took to Instagram to give an update on his injury, stating that his test results came back very trusting.
The way that he’s able to not only walk off the field himself but to say that his “face is still there” is legendary. This guy is definitely built different.
Prayers up that he remains okay!
