It’s a new dawn, a new day in Vancouver as the Canucks say goodbye to Jim Benning, Travis Green, among others, while welcoming in Bruce Boudreau as the team’s newest head coach.
While it was a rollercoaster 24 hours for the Canucks, the Boudreau era began as well as it possibly could have with a convincing 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. During the game, chants from a grateful Canucks fan base began to ring throughout the stadium.
“Bruce, there it is!”
The chants didn’t get by Boudreau, either!
Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Boudreau was asked about the chants. He claimed that he had never heard that before, but that he wasn’t going to pay much attention to it. After all, you never know how those chants can change…
“Bruce! There he goes…”
Well, for the sake of Canucks fans everywhere, let’s hope this doesn’t happen for at least a little while. Not sure they can handle another coaching saga at the moment!
