If you didn’t know the name Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi before, you’ll certainly know it now.
According to Cleveland.com, the 24-year-old literally talked his way into a tryout despite not being invited and claimed he knew Cleveland VP of player Personnel Alonzo Highsmith when he didn’t. Sheehy-Guiseppi went on to run a 4.38 and eventually earned himself an official tryout.
But wait, there's more.
The tryout was a week away and he didn’t have the money to rent a room for an entire week. So what did he do? He slept outside and at a 24-hour fitness centre. Days later, the Phoenix College product found himself swarmed by Browns teammates in the end zone after taking a punt return 86 to the house.
Surreal.
His teammates, including new Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr., made sure to show his guy a little love after the game.
Damon made sure to check in with fans after the game, too. On a side note- the man has some awesome hair.
The Browns still need to trim their roster down but it’s clear that Sheehy-Guiseppi is making a pretty good impression on the organization. Time will tell if he cracks the squad.
