Brent Burns takes prides in the outfits he dresses himself in. Whether it’s funky top hats, snazzy suit jackets, or bombastic backpacks that matches the rest of his garments, Burns has emerged as one of the NHL more decorative dressers.

The San Jose Shark defenceman definitely has an element of swag to him with his Chewbacca- like beard.

If you see Burns out and about, it’s next to impossible not to notice him, even if you’re not a hockey fan. If you saw him wearing a Japanese kimono outfit, you might think it’s a little strange, and there was likely a backstory.

Burns posted a photo with his 8-year-old daughter, Peyton, of the two of them wearing the Japanese garment for Peyton’s 8-year-old daddy-daguhter dance.

According to an interview with NHL.com, Burns explained the significane of spending time with his daughter.

"It's always fun to try to do stuff like that as much as you can. "Obviously, you're on the road a lot with games, but it worked out." "It's always fun to try to do stuff like that as much as you can. Obviously, you're on the road a lot with games, but it worked out."

As good as he is as a hockey player, he just as good at being a good family man. It also helps that he can pretty much pull off  any sort of garment, too.
