Team USA and Team Canada battled it out in the first ever outdoor game at an IIHF tournament on Friday afternoon in Buffalo and the hosts ended up putting together an impressive comeback to win 4-3 in a shootout.

The weather was perfect by the time puck drop rolled around, but before the first period was all said and done the snow started to blow in from the lake and slowly took over the stadium.

By the time the game was at the midway point the rink workers had gone from plowing the snow off the ice with their shovels to collecting it in wheelbarrows in order to have it removed.

Although the players did all the work on the ice, the workers put forth a tremendous effort to keep the ice as clear as possible and Brady Tkachuk made sure to thank them all for their hard work as he exited the ice after the game.

The potential 2018 first round draft pick was responsible for the game-tying goal in the third period and also contributed with one of the two goals in the shootout to help the Americans seal the victory.
